Biggest Headlines of Last Year

by Brandon Pham February 4, 2022

Last year was nothing short of amazement. Small voices were being magnified as Activision/Blizzard was at its heel defending from harassment allegations. After a few settlement and shuffling it appeared to have affected its sell off this year.

Additionally, the Epic versus Apple showdown unfolded after a year long battle. Conclusively, Apple indirectly got  pressured into lowering its percentage take from vendors from 30% to 15%. Something that developers thought would never happen.

Google made tons of promises that Stadia will break open the streaming games industry and respectfully they did just that then bowed out as quickly as it came in. Lastly, how big tech companies are taking the lead for the game industry and we determine if whether its a good thing or not.

Topics discussed in this episode:

  • 0282: Roundtable News | Blizzard Under Fire
  • 0273: Roundtable News | Final Showdown Epic VS Apple
  • 0258: Roundtable News | Stadia Shutting Down
  • 0286: Roundtable News | The Rise of Big Tech Game Companies

This episode is brought to you by AppFigures!
