A big part of being a game developer is being in-between big projects. Sometimes, the in-between phase isn’t just a few days or months, and it can feel like you’re losing steam if you’re not kicking off the next big game. Regardless of the timing, there are always small things you can do to improve yourself and your work if you need/want to use that time, without instantly embarking on another years long development cycle. This talk will explore some ways Nina Freeman, an indie game designer, has dealt with these challenges personally. She’ll share some ways she found to make small improvements to her career, workflow and creative momentum, without actually starting a new game project (until she was really ready!)
